Born cancer in Marseilles France. Nationality French & Dutch.

He started making music on a Atari ST computer using primitive software and a AD/DA converter. The Roland 707 was the drum sequencer back in the eighties. He began to record sessions after returning from New York in 1986 where Techno from Detroit & House from Chicago had suddenly emerged.

As he moved to Amsterdam he concentrated on studying the background of rhythm & music.

After 6 years of DJing in local clubs & parties he focused on making music professionally & together with Dimitri he started his own 12' label Be.S.T. [Beautiful Soul Techno] Records in 1990.

Their first release came at the beginning of 1991 & was called 'So Lonely / Page 1'. After that several

classic releases followed. The Outland Recordshop came to be in 1992 along with the label. Many -now legendary- releases followed including the classics 'Chiquita' (with Marcello) 1992, 'House Of Lords' 1993 & 'Aquarius' 1993.

From then on he managed to work simultaneously on independent labels such as Outland Records, Timeless Records, Be.S.T. Records, Fifth World, Wonka, Colors, News, Magic Tracks, Hour Power Records, Alabianca Records, Zomba Records.

He founded the 'Hi-Tech Soul Movement' at the legendary 'RoXY' with DJ Dimitri, he worked from the beginning at the 'After Hour Power' at the Palace in Zaandam in 1992 with DJ Vandy (the first after party club in the Netherlands), he also played as a resident from the beginning at the original 'Latido' afterclub with DJ Jurgen in 1992-1993, and at the 'Hour Power' on Sundays at the 'Escape' in 1994-1996 with Vandy & Jurgen, also in the legendary 'Friday at the iT with Jean and numerous party organizations of that era.

In the fall of 1995 together with some friends they finally built their own 'Magic Studios' to record music in the centre of Amsterdam.

He has been performing his own music live since 1990 as one of the true pioneers in House music.

He has played or performed in almost every club in the Netherlands at one time or another.

He has produced records with : Dimitri, Marcello, Vandy (Spymaster), Ferry S. (Gizmo), Jean, Scott Mac, Derrick may, 100% Isis, Guan (All Star Fresh), DJ Lippy, Jurgen, DJ Rene, Georgio Schultz, Marnix, Lady Lago & Miss Wendy.

Almost all the major Club/Dance compilation CDs in the Benelux have licensed tracks of his at one time or another. He had an international moderate instrumental Top 40 hit with 'Spontaneous' in 1996.

It was released in several countries and regularly seen on MTV. He got awarded the 'Best newcoming Dance act' of 1996 in the Netherlands.

He played Live 3 times at the 'Dance Valley' major dance event in the Netherlands. He released a 'best of' compilation double CD on Marnix's Loveland Label : "Careful Digit - The Best of Eric Nouhan & Dimitri" featuring a selection of his memorable tracks from 1991-2005.

Eric is working at the office/studio of the Powerzone, the biggest Club in Amsterdam. He is now also doing events in north africa.

He specializes in bass electro progressions, but he can play a fine groovy latin house set on the beach as well, and is also known for his pumped up R&B remixes.
