Hi' I'm Eric Adamo CEO & Founder of Ricochet Records & Ricochet Rubberband Music Publishing (ASCAP), my own independent record label & publishing company. I'm a DJ/Musician/Producer dating back to the mid 1970's. I worked the New York and Ft. Lauderdale club scene for many years. I now compose my own original dance music. Through all my experiences, I have developed my own style of music production! I would describe my music as Hard House, Hard Trance, and Techno with a flavor of my Old School roots.

My roots go as far back as the 60's when at the age of 2 my grandfather started giving record players. I would entertain anyone who listen to me play my records. He was into the highest quality of sound reproduction and he even invented an early version of surround sound. His influence has led me to where I am today. My first exposure to the Club and D.J. Scene was in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the mid 70's. I used to frequent a club called The Playpen and watched the resident D.J. there. (I think his name was Scott, wish I could remember his name. We became fairly friendly and it was the first club I played records at). I remember the first time I went there during spring break of 1977. Me and my best friend Paul couldn't believe the mayhem the music & the atmosphere created. I thought it was interesting how the music & the D.J. could overpower the crowd and influence their behavior. I have only seen a handful of D.J.'S that have had this powerful gift, Scott was one them. Shortly after that I went out and bought my first mixer and had three different brands of turntables, only one had a pitch control. I like to tease some of my current D.J. friends who take for granted all the luxuries of today. I played 45's & 9 inch singles in the beginning; the 12 inch single had just started to surface. After playing the Ft. Lauderdale club circuit, I moved back to New York in 1980 and played the Manhattan club scene for many years. I also played guitar in a few punk/metal bands in the 80's as well.

Upon arrival in New York, I had the unique experience of going to the Paradise Garage and hearing Larry Levan. That sound system rocked. There hasn't been anything like it since. Larry knew how to control the room and that system. It was loud, it was clear; it felt like a 9.5 earthquake at times. And the BASS... The atmosphere brought all people, regardless of race, creed or color, etc. together as one. That's what it's all about. It's hard to describe. I think that's what's missing from the current club scene of today. It's been one of my goals to build another sound system & club like it and have open to everyone.

If you have any questions, comments or would like to purchase one of my original music CD's, please feel free to contact me.
