EMMET MASTERSON
Born January 5'th of 1973 in Suffern, NY and growing up in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Emmet started DJing back in the summer of 2000. Starting out playing mostly hard house, he worked his way through house parties, small local bars, desert parties, and nightclubs, anything he could get his fingers into. Over the course of the last 5 years, his style has gone from Hard House to Hard Trance to Progressive and Tech House to New School Breaks, both funky and dark, finally arriving at his latest passion, dark, driving progressive house. Constantly evolving and working to improve and add upon his show, he currently specializes in a style that is driving and progressive with a definite undertone of the dark and sinister, while at the same time, still always striving to deliver a multi-genre show. For the last 3 years he has also worked as a full time strip club DJ giving him ample opportunity to hone his abilities behind a microphone as well as the ability to motivate a crowd. His was the co-founder and resident of "Bordello Breaks" for one year, the only strip club in San Diego featuring DJ`s spinning a live turntable show. In addition he also headed up and was a resident of a weekly called "Deviantly Dark", happening every Sunday night, at Kadan, featuring all types of electronica specializing in a theme of tribal, progressive, and sinister. Some of his past venues include the International Comic-Con Convention, New Years Eve 2005 at the Del Mar Racetrack, L5 Nightclub, The Red Circle, The Red Sea lounge, Caffiends, Club Notorious, and his newest creation, Sticky Radio, live internet broadcasting station. He has shared the same stage with DJ's of all caliber. From San Diego local resident DJ`s to playing the main stage with Frankie Bones, this DJ pushes hard and maintains an attitude of complete determination, drive, positively and focus, truly in it to win it. He is also currently working on several soon to be released original tracks that are sure to take the listeners on an intense ride. This is a man who loves what he does and will absolutely not do anything else. Completely single-minded in his approach, he will tell you that there will never be a "plan B" for Emmet Masterson, accepting nothing less than complete and total achievement of his dreams above all else, leaving his mark on the world for a long time to come.
