Born & raised in Los Angeles, California, Elektroholic became a fan of hardcore gabber at age 17. After going to his first underground party in 1999 and witnessing a 2x6 battle between DJs Delta 9 and Tron, Elektroholic was motivated from that day forward to do something as extraordinary as he had just witnessed, if not better.

Elektroholic started picking up records within the first few months in 2000. His first encounter on the turntables happened in April 2000 at a friend's place, from which he started learning the fundamentals of DJing. Within a few months of practicing Elektroholic was offered his very first gig, which happened to be a tag team set with former L.A. hardcore DJ Intoxicant, which was to take place in Las Vegas in November. Elektroholic nervously took the gig for the simple fact that he wanted to support his friend. Being able to squeak by with what little he knew about mixing, Elektroholic & Intoxicant earned the respect of their fan base for that evening.

After the gig took place, Elektroholic learned that he could be a much better DJ with more practice. He continued to work on skill improvements throughout the year of 2001 by jamming out with his friends who had turntables. The more he practiced, the more confidence he gained within himself.

Elektroholic gained enough confidence to increase his interest of playing in front of people again. He decided to go to random house parties around his area that had other DJs spinning on decks. It was a bit of a gamble for Elektroholic, seeing as these parties were mainly a theme for hip hop & rap music, and to have someone playing hardcore at one of these parties’ sounds quite unusual to say the least! Nevertheless, this did not stop Elektroholic from performing in front of these people. Crowd responses have been quite mixed to say the least, but the support he did gain from those who enjoyed what he had to offer kept his confidence level high enough for him to continue playing at these house parties. Elektroholic gained more and more respect at each house party he performed at, from which he started gaining local recognition. It wasn't too long until he was booked to play at a house party where there was nothing BUT hardcore scheduled to play. This party gave Elektroholic the confirmation that he is very capable of becoming a heavy contributing member to the music he loves the most: Hardcore.

In November of 2001 Elektroholic was finally able to afford a DJ set up of his very own which involved 2 turntables, a mixer, an amp and 2 speakers. He had also started collecting jungle records due to the fact that this is another genre that he respects greatly. However, his stay in L.A. came to an abrupt end after a huge family dispute erupted. Not wanting to stick around with the drama, Elektroholic moved in with family in Sacramento on December 2001.

Picking up right where he left off on DJing improvements, Elektroholic ended up posting a bulletin on the internet advertising that he was looking for people to jam with. Shortly after making this announcement, a DJ known today as Ballistic Ali replied back, which resulted in these 2 meeting up in early 2002. Ballistic Ali is a DJ known to have a passion for U.S. Hard House, a genre Elektroholic was very unfamiliar with. However, after listening to the records Ali brought with him, Elektroholic was an instant fan. These 2 DJs became good friends in a very short amount of time, meeting up on several occasions to work on being better DJs.

Elektroholic's first Northern California opportunity came to him that year at an open decks night in Downtown Sacramento. Feeling confident enough that he would not fail, Elektroholic stepped on the decks and played a 1/2 hour set. Sure enough, he did his homework beforehand, which resulted in a very impressive reaction from fans and other local DJs who were there as well. With this newly earned respect, Elektroholic knew that there was nothing that could stop him getting as good as he wanted to be, short of going deaf.

Over the next few years a lot has changed. From meeting more DJs & fans, to making more friends, to starting a Northern California based label known as Distorted Trauma, to surviving a hellacious month in boot camp, to cutting a few hard hitting demos, from moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, amongst many other things...Elektroholic has definitely come a long way from the one set that inspired him in his younger years. With over 6 years under his belt as a DJ, Elektroholic not only continues to better himself as a DJ, but his popularity continues to increase. Since moving to Nor Cal he has played in SF, Sac, L.A., Reno, Arizona and Chicago.

With many goals that this man has set for himself, as well as his uncontested love for the music and the art of DJing, you can expect Elektroholic to be around for as long as he is physically capable of keeping his passion alive.
