When he was 12, his best friend Stephane Allaman showed him what a turntable and a mixer is at his home in France. Later his father bought a mixer and 2 turntables and said that some day he could be a good DJ!
During the next six years he played at school parties in France and Portugal for his friends and sought his own style. When he was 18 he played in Mirage Disco in Marinhais for 2 years. Now at 30, he has played the last 12 years in Do R Mi (VFXira) Sobre Margem (Benavente), Arena (Salvaterra de Magos), Solar da Vila (Benavente) and parties in Ribatejo, like Sardinha Assada 2005 in Benavente (Portugal), The OZ in Paris (France), and The Magik Sessions in Arena.
His style is House Music and Tribal. In the last 2 years, he worked in a new style of uplifting trance and for the first time he'd play this kind of sound in a small Bar in Benavente called Caf Imperio.
He is now a free lance DJ and is seeking an international career and recognition of his work. Today is the owner of a dj group in Porto Alto with the name of Xpressive. He's working now in a production with his friend Jota.
Since the 1st jan. of 2007 you can listen Dr Yxam on Kiss Club radio show at Kiss Fm Lisbon 93.7FM every week on friday & saturday night 2am-4pm GMT.
