DJ Dominyk also known as Pravin Dominyk Pinto believes that today's world is consistent with never ending genres of dance music. In his work as a DJ and a producer he has become involved with the evolution of a new undefined genre of EDM (Electronic Dance Music). He is known for hitting the "sweet spot" of rhythmic dance movements while playing his sets. His involvement in music started off as a lead guitarist for a metal band. He then drastically switched over to dance music after pursuing a song he knew only by ear and not by name. His initial inspiration and influence came from listening to the live sets of the legend Tiesto. He started mixing in the year 2006 and playing at house parties while still learning the basics of beat matching through the internet. At this time he used an amateurish 2 channel mixer but managed well. His music was then filtered and narrowed down after attending a John Digweed concert at the Madinat Arena in Dubai. That has perhaps been his biggest influence and a life changing experience. He received initial encouragement and support from his friends who believed he had the potential but not the opportunity. His potential was finally realised in 2008 when he was given an opportunity to play at Club Hint. He played some never before heard revolutionary music that stole the night away. He immediately received offers from other clubs encouraging him to continue his research on EDM.

DJ Dominyk is known to play sets that have been remixed entirely by him in a form that cannot be released for commercial purposes. His first remix production Red is an example. He started broadcasting his weekly podcasts of commercial music called the Sounds of Domination on his self created website. The number of downloads actually exceeded the bandwidth of the website that caused a number of errors! His music can be compared to a mix of Progressive House and Electronica.
