He was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela in 1974. At age 12 he started to play records on the Pioneer turntable his family had at home. Soon after that he played at parties around the city. From there his influences from Groove and Electro.

Dio belongs to the line up of Venezuelan professional DJs, as long as Musical Producers for the Progressive Tribal genre with an influence of Latin rhythms and the groove of the 80's, without letting aside the variations of the evolution of house music of the present days.

As a producer, Dio Zambrano has worked on many remixes for his own use as long as unreleases tracks that have been enjoyed by audiences around the world on the internet, all of them with his signature style, all of them with the imprint of Tribal, Progressive, Groove. Funk and the inspiration he feels at the moment of mixing the tracks.

As a DJ, he has performed all around his country, and is starting to do so in other countries as well, where audiences dance to his contagious beat. Trying to describe his live sessions is not easy, since he doesn't follow a predetermined rhythm or lineal style. Dio's sessions are the result of the energy he obtains from the public on the dance floor. He says: 'It is the DJ's task to put dancers on the move, but people communicates you indirectly what they want to listen, so you can play it. I play the music I like and distinguishes me, but I always have in my mind to make people dance, so my audience always moves on the dance floor to my beat'.

When listened live, Dio mixes sounds and rhythms from Funk, Electro, Latin Drums, Vocals, all of them fussioned with Progressive Tribal, in such a way that the bass line doesn't remain untouched, but fussioned, so people keep moving on the dance floor.

Currently, Dio Zambrano is producing in association with outstanding Latin American DJ's, featuring: Javith and Pedro Gil from Venezuela (In Progresso Records), Tom Sawyer from Panama, (South Records), among others.
