DFunked a.k.a. Mark Samia was born on August 2, 1982 in the Philippines. He moved to Seattle, Washington when he was 7 years old. His first experience with the Electronica culture was on New Year's Eve 2001 at a rave called Millennium in Vancouver, B.C. He fell in love with the scene and the music as soon as he stepped inside the venue. He saw the big difference a DJ can make to people's lives and quickly wanted to be one himself. As soon as he began to distinguish the different genres in Electronica, he heard his calling as a Breaks DJ. He bought the industry standard dacks and began his search for the perfect set of vinyls.

His sets consist of high energy Florida Breaks with a twist of Nu Skool mixed in. He gets his style from his idol and top Breaks DJ/Producer in the world Sharaz. He is trying to build up his resume by spinning Hard House, House, Garage & 2Step. Not soon will you see him pumping up the crowds at massives & superclubs and help bring Breaks to the forefront of today's Electronica scene.
