Born in the Midwest, D.J. Deemo (Artie Stevens) was influenced by the old school hip hop djs and artists. It is no surprise than when he started spinning almost a decade ago he started spinning hip hop records for about the first year. It wasn't until then that he gained respect for beat matching electronic music. Starting in the Midwest he was surrounded by house djs. "Straight beat" as he called it. It wasn't until his move to South Florida that he fell in love with funky ass domestic breaks. He knew he had found his home once he heard that bass. Landing a residency at the elite Club Lotus in Dwntn. Indianapolis when he moved back in 02. After opening for such names as Miss Lisa, Richard "Humpty" Vission, D Fuse, DJ Slugo, Trip Theory, Simply Jeff in the Midwest he wanted to return tp Fla. to make his mark on the scene. Returning late in 04 he is back and ready for the Fla. scene and is surely a dj to keep your eyes on!
