Dee Jay MF played an important role in the development of Switzerland's Drum and Bass scene. His identity was established from the outset, with futuristic sets and uplifting beats, to the surprise of so many.

Dominique Germain Luethy, a.k.a. Dee Jay MF, had his first taste of British hardcore during a stay in London back in 1992. It was then that he discovered an interest in DJing. From that point on, regular visits to London allowed him to stock up on vinyl, and he established his first all-important contacts.

In early 1994, MF had the first chance to rock the house at a larger event, which took place at Berne's Markthalle. More gigs followed shortly after and, along with Reto, he established Drum and Bass parties at Via Felsenau in Berne.

In 1995 Dee Jay MF decided to set up his own Drum and Bass retail store (United Tribes Records) and imported the vinyl straight from London. At the same time he also built up the whole UTR-Network, which included renowned companies such as United Tribes Berne. A booking agency and a vinyl sales department were also established under the umbrella of this partnership.

In 1996 MF started up a Drum and Bass show named Drum 91.1 on a local Berne radio station. He produced his own show every Sunday until 1999, (with guests including Bryan Gee & Skibadee, Brockie & Shabba, Donovan Smith & Juiceman to name but a few.)

On top of all this, he also played regular Drum and Bass sets on - Colour 3, Switzerland's most renowned electronic music radio station. In 1997 Dee Jay MF set up his own label, Remington Records, and shortly afterwards first came into the limelight abroad.

Dee Jay MF has been around for over twelve years now, and since 1994 has been a regular and successful figure on the decks at various clubs and raves. His rise to fame over the past years means that MF has played just about everywhere, and is one of the most frequently booked Drum and Bass DJs in the whole of Switzerland.

Dee Jay MF plays regularly at the Dachstock & Via Felsenau in Berne, Fri - Son in Fribourg or at the Rohstofflager in Zurich.
