Originally from Johannesburg, Dean FUEL has built up a strong reputation and following within the South African dance scene, establishing himself as one of the country's premier DJ performers, spinning alongside international legends all over SA, including: DJ Tiesto, Mauro Picotto, Funk Star Deluxe, Phats & Small, Sonique, and even Jamiroquai!

Having played at all the major international events around SA such as Gatecrasher, Slinky and Ministry of Sound, Dean has also secured residencies at all the top clubs in Cape Town, including: Rhodes House, Dockside, The Fez, Sutra, & Baseline.

Dean FUEL's musical style is extremely versatile and unique - slamming down tracks defiant of classification! Versatility is currency in today's dance market, and Dean's sound is undoubtedly of the richest textures currently available. Fat chunky beats blend seamlessly with deep driving bass lines - tweaked to perfection with twisted electronic melodies and funky rhythmic grooves! Incorporating a fusion of tribal, house, funk, tech, and progressive - Dean has the special ability to lead a crowd from deliciously deep and sexy beats through to twisted late-night sets!

Dean certainly adds something special to each and every event that he is featured at, igniting all dance floors and keeping them burning with his passion and the energy that he delivers through the turntables. At the end of the day, dance music is either great or it is not; DJ's of this caliber need not be pigeonholed into specific genres; you're either good, or you're not. Dean is good, very good.

Dean FUEL has also set-up and runs a successful club night along with his partner - fellow DJ and producer - Dino Moran. The night "STEREOTRIBE" has been run weekly for the entire year of 2003 at Club Sutra, and is a strong believer in and promoter of local South African house music and DJ's. STEREOTRIBE centers around the percussive tribal sound of Africa. DJ sets are always accompanied by the sounds of live percussionists and vocalists, adding to the innovative and entertaining African club experience.
