That's why Street Radio's DJ TRUUF will bring a high level of energy, enthusiasm unlike anything you've ever heard. DJ TRUUF brings genuine realness that you just don't get from turning on "REGULAR RADIO". Over the years DJ Truuf has had the privilege of interviewing TOP Movie and TV Stars like Dwayne Martin, Destiny's Child, Mya,Bobby Brown, Lionel Richie, Lil Zane and more. On the 2004 Version of Street Radio 92.9FM, DJ Truuf was able to build the Brand into a powerhouse on the airwaves, keeping the streets of Philly Buzzing with the hottest Open Mic Challenges by MC's right on the streets, locking down the hottest DJ's in the City and giving them a DAY where it was all about the DJ. Every Saturday from Sun up to Sun Down you could tune in to hear DJ's Wyse Shmeek, The World Heavy Crate Champions, DJ Young Legend, DJ Diamond Kuts and more. Working with Legends on the airwaves like Parry P, DJ Truuf learned the art of the interview, making celebrities out of everyone he talked to. That Street Radio Project became the foundation for his love of Independent Artists. Now he works with more than 400 Artists and groups and has had the chance to travel from Nicetown to West Hollywood in pursuit of his dream. To have his voice heard by the world.

DJ Truuf, born Anthony L. Brown, is a Nicetown Philly Native who after making his early mark at Gillespie Jr High School. Being a leader for his graduating class, he is in the School's Hall of Fame as Mr. Gillespie, Truuf went on to be a star in over 5 Plays presented by his class and was asked to take the show on the road by the Late State Rep. Lucien Blackwell. From there he knew that an entertainer is what he wanted to be. After struggling through Central High School trying to find his niche, he ended up being a very successful swimmer with the City Rec Department, eventually ending up spending over 13 years with the YMCA of The USA as Aquatics Director. Never giving up on his Dream, Tony, as he went by then started hosting parties and made quite a name in the GO GO/Stripper circuit. Working with Legendary MC Mr. Leon and Big Keith, Tony was transformed into a Beast with a Mic having the ability to control any size room from 10 people to 10,000 People.

Tony crossed paths with another well known DJ Drew, whose business savvy was far more than that of the average DJ. Having the ability to book gigs every day of the week, DJ Drew and Tony Brown were and are still an unstoppable team. Having contracts with several hotels including the North American Motor Inn and travel agencies, the Duo of DJ Drew and Tony Brown have travelled to every state on the East Coast from Danbury Ct, Boston, Upstate NY, West Virginia and have continued to Smash the Philly Tri-State. Working at EVERY CLUB and BAR IN THE CITY and that's' the truth.

The name "Da Truuf" actually came from a friend who persuaded Tony in 2000 to call a chat line to make new friends. Not wanting to use his real name, the friend was asked to come up with something and henceforth "DA TRUUF" came into being and the rest is History in the Making. In 2003 after spending 3 years on the air at Temple University's 91.3FM, Da Truuf was picked up by Sneaker Villa to become the Voice on the Streets for the Major Urban Retailer. Hosting all of the biggest Events for Sneaker Villa including Unity Day on the Parkway in front of over 5 Million people has put him in a position that most DJ's would and could only imagine. In 2005, Da Truuf was asked to become the official writer for the Philly Tri State for Streetz Magazine, Based in Washington DC. Just recently Da Truuf was crowned Official VOICE OF THE CITY by the METRO NEWSPAPER-The World's Largest Daily Newspaper and now with the NEW IMPROVED STREET RADIO on the way you can bet the World will take notice of this great talent known to most as only DA TRUUF and dats da truuf.
