DAVID TORT

David Tort began his career in 1988, during the big explosion of Acid House sound that greatly influenced him from the very beginning and took him to experiencing the latest sounds (Acid, Newbeat, Pop, EBM, Techno..).

He was the techno pioneer in what it was at those times the House capital of Spain: Sitges (a beautiful touristy village on the cost, not far from Barcelona).

From 1999 he got deeply into House Music, which led him to the sound that characterizes him now, an actual tech-house fusion of several styles as Electro, Deep, Progress, Tribal.

We can define it as "Balearic".

Since 2002 he started a summer residence at L´Atlantida in Sitges, a mythical club on the shore of Mediterranean sea, part of Amnesia Ibiza Group.

David played in the most important clubs in Spain, as well as at After Hour Power (Hollywood, CA, Usa); Peter Pan (Riccione, Italy); Amnesia, Pacha & Space (Ibiza).

He entered in a recording studio for the very first time in 1990; in the following years he experienced on Electronic Body Music and Acid House with different musicians.

From then on, he was asked to make remixes for different Spanish artists on Vale Music.

In 2001 David met Toni Bali & Carlo Caesar.

They decided to lead their careers together, they set up their sound studio "Elestudiodigital" where they created a very personal House style.

In fact in the same year, Serial Killer Vinyl released on its label MORBIDO RECORDS their new project under the name of DRUMMERS OF LOVE. Their track "Drums of Love" was an authentic international hit. It has been released in more than 15 countries and it has been included in the most important compilations. This track is now considered a classic of House Music. After that, he collaborates with many other record companies as Weekend Records, Sutil Records or House Works, etc.

David had a special feeling with one of the monster of current electronic music, Francesco Farfa. They wrote together "Acidazzo", which became the first single from Francesco first album "Human Bridge", released in 2005 on SKV.

The co-op gave very good results, "Acidazzo", was listed by Pete Tong on his Essential Selection. (April 8, 2005) and it was played all summer by djs as Laurent Garnier, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Satoshi Tomiie, James Zabiela, Danny Rampling and many others.

"Don't touch my man/International departures", released on Sutil Records, was played by big djs from the global scene as Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone, Clive Henry, Steve Lawler, it was an authentic international club hit.

David has his own recording studio called "Overbooking Studio" since October 2004, which works very very well, where many other artists apply to do their release or mixing and mastering tracks.

Under the name of Lemonade Market, a beautiful album called "Supermarket Woman" was released by SKV.

This project could be placed between Lounge and Electronic Pop style. "The Holy Chill" is a new one he is working at right now.

David had a weekly co-op at "Ibiza Dance Radio Show" by David Moreno on Flaix FM Ibiza, he has his own radio show called "Mondo Electro", broadcasted every Saturday Night thru CB FM (Barcelona). In it he gives space to all the news from the underground scene.

Actually, David lives across Barcelona and Ibiza, 2006 looks great!
