Davey J was born in Manchester, lived there till the age of 17. Upon joining high school he was introduced to the sound of what most of the teens in his year were listening to which was happy hardcore.

He grew very found of this style of music and started to buy tape packs and slowly learning about the djs and what kind of hardcore they would play, and also learning about the songs.

One of the main radio stations in Manchester which is Key 103 used to have a one hour hardcore hour every week, the show which was then done by Stu Allan was very popular with us hardcore heads and gave us our weekly dosage of tunes as well as new tunes and sometimes live mixes was great until it eventually came to an end.

During the later years of high school Davey started getting into the dj side of things a mate of his owned turntables so he started having a serious interest in this side of the music actually being the dj.

Time passed and he eventually bought his first set of turntables and first few records, he tried for months and months to mix and was a very frustrating process but he stuck with it and eventually he learnt the ins and outs of mixing.

As time went by his mixing got to a better standard and soon he was doing mix cd's for his friends showcasing the sounds of the music he loves, he continues this hobby but has never gone any further as of yet, has never played in a club.

The music he loves continues to grow and has changed a lot over the years since he first got the taste for it he will always have a passion for this music as it runs through his veins now he knows no other.
