Dan Apps is one of the most dedicated DJs that we have ever met. Graduate of the Vestax DJ Academy, owner of Future Groove Records, Promoter, and Producer, this versatile and talented DJ, has a proven track record with one of the biggest Trance promoters in the UK, Wildchild. With his production partner Jay Cox (Toolbox Records), their second release (Acoustica) currently unsigned reached 32 in the DMC World Trance Chart in 2005.

From his early beginnings in the mid 90s, Dan quickly gained recognition with local venues and promoters. This led to him playing a wide range of nights across the south, gaining residencies and guest appearances with the Matrix (Reading), Club Colosseum (London), Twisted promotions, and Club Kingdom.

In August 2002, after the success of the past 6 years, Dan decided to further his career in the Dance Music Industry, by joining one of the top DJ Academies, the Vestax DJ Academy (ACM) in Guildford. The course featured many industry figureheads such as Brendan Byrne (Decipher Records), and Brian Reza, who helped form Perfecto Records with Paul Oakenfold. After completing the course with an HND in Contemporary Music/Production, Dan started to focus more on music production and business, as well as his continuing residencies.

After a series of successful guest appearances for Hampshire based event organizers Sound Proj-X, Dan gained a permanent residency, and later was handed the role of management and organization of their events. Due to his valuable skills and experience in promotion and business, attendance to Sound Proj-X (SPX) events greatly increased, so the decision was made to hold four boat parties per year, as well as the larger events. Each boat party has been a sell out success, paving the way for future events.

2004 was a big year for Dan. As well as his residencies and Sound Proj-X events, he did a number of guest appearances for one of the biggest Trance nights in the UK, Wildchild. This included the Slinky Vs Wildchild, Wildchild Vs Passion, and Wildchild Vs Frantic events. The close relationship that Dan has formed with Wildchild, has seen him continue his regular guest slot into 2005.

During 2004, after 6 months of research and advice from Brendan Byrne and Matthew Auckland, Dan opened Future Groove Records, Southampton's only Trance, House, Techno and Hard House record shop. The first month of trading proved just how successful the venture is and his customer base has continued to grow. During 2005 Dan plans to become a ticket outlet for Wildchild and other leading event organizations.

With a third track scheduled for release mid 2005, and his continually growing fan base, Dan has come a long way since his early beginnings. He has proved to be one of Trance music's rising stars. We predict big things for this dedicated DJ and Producer.
