When he was just 8 years old, he started listening to artists such as Darude, Paul Oakenfold, and The Ministry Of Sound. A few years later, he started to listen to an underground electronic music internet radio station formerly known as XTC Radio London. His roots can be traced back to the deep, tribal, and progressive sounds that emitted from XTC FM's servers. XTC Radio taught him what real underground EDM (Electronic Dance Music) was like, which helped him begin to 'get it'. He instantly became infatuated with learning all he could about the music, the scene, and turntablism. As a result, 'The D-Caf' was born. About 6 months later, he purchased his first mixer and set of CDJs. After another year of practice, gathering music, and a rather expensive upgrade of equipment, he started to post on the highly regarded St. Louis Raver board. By proving his skill and dedication to the scene through quality mix tapes and his caffeinated personality, he has become the next generation of what this scene has to offer. Currently, he is a server administrator for XTC FM and hosts frequent live sets that reach the ears of people all around the world. He is undoubtedly infected with the DJ bug and spends incredible amounts of his time looking for perfect gems of sound to present to listeners through his internet broadcasts and occasional gigs at local venues. He spins a wide variety of styles including deep and tribal progressive, funky and dirty house, liquid and techstep drum & bass, and a touch of minimal hard techno here and there. Be sure to watch out for this youngun at future events because he will pour a whole energy drink on your head if you don't!
