CONOR ARKINS
Growing up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Conor Arkins was inspired from an early childhood by classic Ibiza tunes from artists such as ATB, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren. In 2003 he made the move to Perth, Western Australia and settled down with the goal to transform the country into a trance nation (whilst having just completed a double degree in accounting and finance!!).Conor currently has his own 2 hour radio show called 'Entrancement' that airs every Wednesday at 7pm GMT on ETN.FM/, spinning the newest and best releases in trance and progressive. The show has been running for over a year, containing over 50 dedicated and perfected harmonic mixes from Conor himself, along with many of the worlds most talented guests in the second hour. Such guests have included Matt Darey, Mike Shiver, Mark Otten, Hawk, Sonorous, Galen Behr, John O'Callaghan, Solarstone, Thomas Bronzwaer, Jonas Steur, Ronski Speed, Mark Eteson, and Sean Tyas, and future mixes have been scheduled from artists such as Jon O'Bir, Judge Jules and many more! He was also the campus #1 DJ for Edith Cowan University in 2005, and has been featured in the Crystal Clouds (crystalclouds.com/) DJ Spotlight section, which included an exclusive mix for the site. This was received with two thumbs up from all, and resulted in him being asked to do another special mix for their 3rd birthday celebration, which aired on 1.FM on Saturday the 29th of July. He also works for one of the earliest and true legends of trance, Matt Darey. He is the A&R for his Nocturnal radio show, which is now available on 15 stations across the globe, making it the fastest growing syndicated dance show in the world! Apart from DJing, Conor intends on putting his 5 years of piano experience (along with other instruments) to good use by producing some of his own epic tunes. 2006 promises to be a huge year for trance and Conor will be right in the middle of it all.
