Chris Rohn is one of the current innovators of the alternative dance scene. He is a former resident of the world renowned Leland City Club in Detroit, one of America's longest running underground alternative clubs, and currently a resident at metro Detroit's leading alternative dance bar, Luna, in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Born in Decatur Alabama, Chris Rohn moved with his family to the Detroit suburbs at a very young age. While studying Architecture in the city of Detroit, he traveled to Poland for additional study. It was this experience that propelled him into club life and gave him the desire to change the scene through becoming a disc jockey himself.
Since the summer of 2000, Chris Rohn has focused on presenting continuously mixed sets of alternative dance - something previously unheard of in the history of Detroit's underground dark dance clubs. These sets fuse a range of sounds, from the guitar influenced tracks of Razed In Black and Ministry to the more established dancewave tunes of The Faint and The Bravery.
Through his continuing mix tape series, Chris Rohn has explored the progression of 80's and 90's industrial to the FuturePop sounds of today's EBM artists.
Chris Rohn's sets continue to entertain and expand through the eclectic moods and rhythms presented each week at Luna in Royal Oak.
