Chris Llopis, also called DJ Llopis, Have been a dj since 1989. After having returned from a 6 year period spent in Copenhagen, Denmark, he now lives in Malmoe at the southern edge of Sweden, where he mostly spends his time in his studio.

Chris got his big interest in electronic music during a trip to Spain in the end of the late 80's. His interest was so huge that he bought his first 1210 turntables immediately upon returning. He quickly became obsessed with mixing and music. It didn't take very long before he got his first gigs and began to play all over in Sweden. At this time, around 1989, "Acid House" was well received.

Llopis moved to Copenhagen around 1996 to be able to play more. It was in Copenhagen that he finally got his "break". The gigs started to roll on and soon he was one of the most booked DJ's in Copenhagen, playing mainly at various parties and clubs. He was the resident DJ on the well known club "Techno Thursday" on Stengade 30 in Copenhagen.

After a few years as a DJ, Chris decided to get as much as possible out of his music and started to produce. His first release was 1998 with "Cosmocat" on Tatsu Records in Germany. More releases after this led to increasing fame and international gigs. His music style grew more progressive and this led to more releases, at that time with among others "Clone the clown" on Howie B's Fabric 5 collection. Today it's mostly house and tech-house that interests Chris, both at his gigs and in the producing. He just had a hit single out on porn recordings that was voted the best house single of the march mounth on the german house site housefloor.de Two other new releases to keep your eyes and ears open for during 2005 is "Diz Em" Rythem Code Rmx on Openup Records. And a new 12inch (To the ark)on the new swedish lable (Frosty music)

At this point in time, Chris Llopis has played all over the world and has recently returned from an eight month stay in Brazil, where he produced and was resident DJ at D-Edge, one of the most respected house clubs in Sao Paolo.

This man has the capacity to get the dance floor swinging uninterrupted. You will easily recognize him for his special mix style where the funky base is the main ingredient?!
