Charles started his musical career on the air, linking pre-programmed music selected by someone else. It just wasn't what he was searching for. DJing came to be the right answer: Charles wanted to be able to select his own music and to play it to a live crowd and get a reaction.

To be able to create an ambiance, to guide a room filled with people throughout the night and to feel the energy from the crowd was exactly what he was looking for. His goal hasn't changed over the years. He feels more and more connected to the crowd and playing music to the party revelers is like a real dialogs to him. He introduces people to new music, sounds and rhythms that make them forget about their routine and takes them on a journey. In his opinion, the best music that can make it happen is ambient, downtempo, trip hop or house, as to him, these styles of music are all connected and are simply elements of a whole experience.

His fickleness has led him to play in several different contexts, from the Black & Blue mega party chill-out room to renowned events or clubs in Canada and in Europe, where he was led to play tribal and progressive house music. His incredible achievements earned him a coveted spot at the Black & Blue massive Party at the Montreal Olympic Stadium last October, a night he shared with prominent DJs Antoine Clamaran, Chus & Ceballos and Mark Anthony.

His DJ career started in Montreal, playing at Sky Club, at Parking Nightclub and as a resident DJ at Unity. These days, Charles is mostly active as the top DJ in Quebec City with a weekly residency at the Drague for CP Lab and I Love Monday, and the Systeme Afterhours's Wave night. He has been invited to play to many special events like the Jock Ball at Stereo, at BBCM's RED Party, as well as in private parties such as the Premiere night of Varekai and Corteo for Cirque du Soleil, DJ Paulette's birthday bash in Paris, and the Red Bull Crashed Ice Party in Quebec City. These are always special moments for him, a sort of recognition and trust for his musical taste and live performance ability. Charles also imported his sound to the legendary London club, The End, and to the exciting Paris club, The Mix, where he represented the Black & Blue in its promotional tour.

His music has been influenced mostly by other DJs like the legendary Frankie Knuckles, Danny Tenaglia, Masters at Work, Chus & Ceballos, Stephan Grondin, Alain Vinet and Mark Anthony. He must also confess his addiction to the works of Giorgio Moroder, Kraftwerk and Yello.

He is constantly evolving, always searching for that special track that will create the atmosphere perfectly, that will carry the night seamlessly. One more step towards his goal: to create a special moment every time he is in charge of the decks. Watch out for Charles: he hasn't finished to dazzle us!
