Calix was born in 1971 and since the age of 10 music plays a major role on his life.

He got much of his influence from an older brother who was also a Deejay and musician.

He experienced the late 70's disco to the early 80's pop & funky and started is career as a Deejay back in 1987 with only 16 years.

In Portugal, he achieved much of his relevance as a Deejay due to his strong belief and knowledge in Acid House, at the time, a recent and not well known dance variant, but on his vision a sure play to a near future.

He stands behind the decks for another 5 years, playing the roots of house in some of the best Portuguese clubs. At the age of 21, he decides to take a lease on the art of "Djing" and improve his knowledge in computer sciences. Two years later, taking advantage of his skills, he starts cooperating with some of the best Portuguese music producers, mastering and sharpening digital audio production methods. He was a backstage shoulder for several clubs and bands that cared to take advantage of the latest audio hi-tech, in some private parties he also performed has a Deejay, took not much to managers and friends start demanding a quick return to the decks.

Up till 5 years ago, somehow, he managed to keep away the pressure, then decided he should return with his batteries fully charged and ready to pick back his career as a Deejay.

Since then he has been playing in several well known clubs, on the last two years he embraced a Saturday night residency at the notorious Abox Club in Espinho, taking crowds to the highest levels of satisfaction.

Gifted with natural musician know-how, his skilful mixing technique and persisting accuracy on future hits makes the crowd live and breed for the music he plays. His advanced technical knowledge allows him to fool around with audio equipment, and put some of his producing concepts over the tracks he plays, making them a one night sound stamp, conquering more and more followers, quickly becoming a reference on the euro dance scene.
