Hailing from the midwest, Caleb Golston cites John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Norman Jay and Sasha as his DJ inspirations. His eclectic and expanding music collection contains everything from Celtic music to underground acts like Johnny Acid to well known producers like Matthew Dekay and Pete Heller.
He began passing out mixes and songs that he had produced while attending Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas. Many classmates began requesting sets of their own, which kept him quite busy while in high school. After graduating from High school, he attended UT Tyler, where he passed out more mixtapes and DJed for fellow college students. He has passed out mix tapes in cities such as Tyler, San Francisco and Dallas to much acclaim.
Personal Collections, his first compilation is exclusively available on cassette and is a look into his rare vinyl and CD collection. The mix also features fellow Dallas based DJ Shruthi. His first single "Selenium," was also passed out for a limited time but is now rarely distributed. In June 2008, His second single, "Rollerskate", was released with fellow producer, DJ Shruthi. His newest single, "Studio Glitch" has been out since October 2008. It was also remixed by Johnny Acid.
At age 19, the skies look bright for Golston as he pioneers a new subgenre, Dallas Acid, along with playing traditional progressive and dark house.
