Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Blue Submarine moved to his current home of Portland OR, in 1998. The former club kid started out as a bedroom DJ in 2002 and in just three short years developed into a full-fledged force in Portland's electronic music scene. Blue's power-driven beats are reminiscent of DJs like Satoshi Tomiie, Deep Dish, and Dirty Vegas, and his intoxicating sets are infused with a unique blend of Japanese and Western aesthetics. He has opened for Darude, Jimmy Van M and spun with some other major West Coast talents including Kevin Knapp, Billy Casazza, etc.

Blue Submarine is currently affiliated with two Portland production companies that offer some of the city's best DJ talent: Giganticore, and KevokiVision. You can catch one of his shows at venues in and around Portland, various clubs in Seattle, and outdoor music events around the Northwest.

Specializing in progressive, tribal house, electro house, and psy-trance, his style is characterized by heavily melodic, yet very energetic tracks that are quite memorable and very danceable. His positive vibes, mesmerizing dance style and enthusiastic presence contribute to the overall atmosphere of each event and enable him deliver exceptionally compelling performances.
