Big Daddy has been DJing since May 2002. In September of that year, he started Higher Education with DJ Trapz at the Powerplant on the University of Alberta campus. The night was created to give bedroom DJs a chance to play out in public, on a larger system, to a crowd of people.

The publicity gained from Higher Education helped Big Daddy to get other regular slots such as Breakfast at Tiffany's. From the first time he played the Sunday afternoon events, he became a regular.

Over the last year, Big Daddy has gone on to play parties around Edmonton and Red Deer. In November of 2002, Big Daddy once again joined forces with Trapz and along with DJ MD, started Phoenix Productions. November 2002, saw the first party of this fledgling company in Dewey's, a small lounge inside the Powerplant. The party was small, but sold out and helped Phoenx Productions build a strong reputation for fun, exciting parties.

Phoenix is still going strong, especially after the success of theme nights such as Naughty School Girl and Pimp and Ho. Not to mention their largest party to date, Bushwhacked in August 2003. Higher Education has returned for another year and is stronger than ever, with its move to Friday nights. Big Daddy also currently holds a residency on Saturday nights at Twilight - Edmonton's newest afterhours club. Along with DTDR, Sunday's have been revamped and renamed, Sunday Worship, held at Decadence.

Whether Big Daddy is spinning his signature Vocal House or ripping it up on the decks with anything from deep house to hard house, the crowd is sure to be on their feet and moving.
