"ghetto nefarious robot hardcore... but likeable."
Baby Daddy, aka Rob Goppold, mixes a unorthodox blend of very specific and contrasting genres. Slowing down the ghetto tech formula to a for-heads-outside-of-Detroit tempo, BD deftly "hotmixes" styles from across the Ghetto Funk Nation. He throws down acid techno cuts alongside hip hop accappellas, Baltimore club, bleeding edge material from Ghostly International & Spectral Sound, and plenty of Prince and electrobass classixxx. From Ital-disco to mashups, his jams sound like a Hollertronix from the D.
Baby Daddy is part of San Francisco's Bfamily crew and is a staple at their parties. He's played afterparties at the DEMF/Movement festival in Detroit and at several Burningman events. In addition to the mixes and mashup remixes that proliferate the internet, he's performed online radio sets for Locked Grooves on Proton Radio.
