Formerly known as Dj Pirata, Asterix was born in the port of Callao, north of Lima in 1970.

In his child years he developed an special taste for music and performance, becoming a drummer at age 8; and also enjoying great party dancing and Disco Music. The first time he heard "Studio 54", he knew that he wanted to be a Dj.

At age 12 started his journey as a Dj, performing in local private and public parties with his own set of equipment, and also playing with his buddies band "Arena".

During the late 80's his popularity raised and become a first choice Dj for most local parties, having an almost Rock Star status between his co-generationals. During this time he also performed in local clubs and discotheques.

The 90's came with winds of changes, and after a period of studies in the USA, Asterix became Sound Engineer. Back in Peru he founded Musicorp, his sound studio and production company.

Dedicated to the audio visual production since 1996 with Prokrea Productions and Intermedia, Asterix returned to the musical scene in 1999, after falling in love with the new wave of electronic music.

A few performances in select events during this period launched him again to the arena.

Since then he has produced a number of mix sets, sometimes available on the net, and has performed in special and rare occasions.
