Is A Deeper, More Prevalent Baseline Better?, May 12, 2005

I read that Armin used a new mixing machine to make this cd. Impressive as A State of Trance 2005 is, because of Armin's exceptional ability to choose and play uplifting trance songs, it doesn't rival his A State of Trance 2004 cd. The conflict I have with grading A State of Trance 2005 as a "great" cd is the continous solid baseline that one hears while listenting to it. To me, at times, the baseline is too overbearing and receds away from the harmonious, creative synthesizing sounds one expects to hear when they buy a mixed cd by Armin. However, Armin has built a reputation for himself, and because of his status now, he brings pedigree to whatever song he plays on his dj sets and mix cds. I still believe Armin has that touch to make you feel your capable of doing anything when you listen to his sets, and this cd doesn't argue with that belief. A State of Trance 2005 is good, but A State of Trance 2004 is better.

AVB has gr8 sense of music.He's certainly made a mark for himself in the world of Trance Music.I like all tracks from this album especially Shivers,Beyond Horizon & Perfect Silence they are my all time favourites.No wonder he is ranked No.3
