I HEARD CLIPS OF STATE OF TRANCE 2004, I HAVE EVERY SINGLE CD, INCLUDING LIVE PERFORMANCES, I LOVE HIM, HE HAS HELPED TO INSPIRE ME WITH MY OWN WRITING(LOVE POETRY) HE IS PHENOMONAL!!!!!! HE IS COMING TO MICHIGAN WHERE I RESIDE AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM-I LOVE THAT SONG WITH KYAU VS ALBERT "VELVET MORNING- DOES ARMIN HAVE A STATION I GET OFF THE NET WHERE THEY PLAY HIS MUSIC??? Armin Van Buuren has once again proven why he is a top international DJ and Producer with a mix record such as ASOT 2004. Not only does he just mix great tracks, but he exposes all artists (well-known or not)like Envio, Mark Otten, Whirlpool (Filo & Peri), and many others to the international community. His work here shows not only the state of Trance in 2004, but the state yet to come in future years.

A State of Trance 2004 is truly a work of technological art. The songs selected to play on this cd are exciting, romantic, and, at times, dark. The mixing skill of Armin shown on this cd, in my opinion at this time, is unmatched by any other dj. The break in song on cd one right before 'A Perfect Wave' is testimony to Armin's ability as a dj to find great trance songs and put them together without the fuss and fighting. Djs usually cross over to progressive trance to blend trance songs together, in effort to not create a shock factor to the listener, evident by the constant average in beats per minute played through out a dj set or mix cd. Armin is a true gem to fans of trance music. He can put songs together to compile a mix cd without the shock factor. When Armin makes a mix cd, by not crowding it with overbearing bass, he keeps intact the ability for one to hear the melange of synthesizing sounds. I appreciate this. And because of this, he has quickly become my favorite dj to date. After you listen to A State of Trance 2004, you'll not only love it, you will listen to it more frequently during a given week than you realize. Buy A State of Trance 2004, lean back in an easy chair, and enjoy the ride!
