Past:

Joe Martinez II A.K.A. DJ Aquapimp was born February 4, 1985 in Houston, TX. His Love for music has been strongly influenced by his Father, Joe Martinez Sr., who was a musician since the early 60s when he and his brothers formed the Tejano Band "Little Joe and the embers."

When Aquapimp was born his fathers band had changed name to the "Phantacy Band" which featured Texas wide Singles such as "Cu Cu Ru Cu Cu" which was the number one requested song on tejano stations around Texas.

In the early 90's the "Phantacy Band" had split up which led to Joe Martinez Sr. the world of mobile DJing. Aquapimp at the time was still only about 9 years old but his interest in music became apparent in 1996 when he joined the School band at his school, Klein Intermediate. After 2 years of playing the trumpet Aquapimp decided that the trumpet wasn't his thing

In 1998 DJ Aquapimp went to his first mobile DJ gig with his Father and it was that day that he found his passion for djing. So he continued doing mobile gigs with his father spinning tejano and hip hop at weddings, quinceanera's, sweet sixteen's, house parties, and small clubs.

In 1999 Aquapimp was introduced into the wide world of electronic music. He experimented with all genres such as Drum & bass, House, Tech, break beat, and trance until he found that unique blend of trance/tech/break beat that his fans have come to like best about him.

In 2005 Aquapimp decided that he wanted to make a push for something more than mobile DJing. He wanted to try and reach his goals of being a successful dj/remixer/producer and owning a night club, which leads us to where we are now.

Present:

Nowadays Aquapimp is trying to get his name out in the Houston electronic music scene. He teamed up with All Star DJs, which is owned and founded by his cousin, Pat Salas. Together they hope that they can take their music to the next level while promoting parties and bashes that are organized by All Star DJs.

Aquapimp is also currently affiliated a few upcoming local rappers such as Swangin Sam & High G of Swangin Beats And Phrank Roacha C.E.O. of Ontoppa Records. Aquapimp is currently working on Swangin Sam & High G's Album titled "Gotta Be High" which will feature a "Screwed and Chopped" Remix of the album done by Aquapimp.

"Its just a little something on the Side that I like to do with my friends, I still will always be about my trance but its fun to do this hip hop stuff with them" -Aquapimp

Aquapimp's first trance promo demo was just released and u can download it at his web site.

Future:

Aquapimp's next step is to produce his own trance music, which is what he says will take him to the next level.
