Since Andrew Casric was about 11 he has been listening to a variety of styles of dance music be it Acid House or Happy Mondays, through to progressive house, chill out, techno and breaks not forgetting to throw in some trance, electro and house along the way.

Buying mix tapes from the likes of Dave Seaman, Sasha, Carl Cox, Jeremy Healey and John of the Pleased Women, he expanded his knowledge of music, spending every penny on Cds, Tapes and Vinyl even before he had his first pair of decks. Now he gets his hands on a lot of previously unavailable stuff via sites like Beatport and City16 and there are plenty of forums around to find out about new artists and also to share talented producers you have come across that others may not have. The internet has revolutionized dance music, he wishes that when he was young such a large resource was available to him to although that may have taken away some of the fun of looking in dark corners of record shops for the latest Sasha remix or stumbling across a BBC TV themes 12" in your local Charity shop.

He's never been one to like one Genre more than another and his mixes usually drift seamlessly from house to prog to techno via breaks and chilled stuff. He never sticks to one sound but always keeps it in his distinct style, making his sets individual but recognizable which is important in his eyes.

He has been djing now for 10 years on and off with a two year break in the middle where he sold his decks and carried on buying tunes till he got his new setup up and running which is now complete.

In January he created the website www.bedroomdjchoice.com in order to give djs a place they can try to get some feedback and increase there exposure, the site has taken off very well with over 5000 members in the early stages of the site. The site has given him among others the chance to be heard by a much larger worldwide audience. His mix entitled the Journey has nearly reached 1000 Downloads in about 3 months and is now the most popular mix on the site and receives a lot of praise from all the downloader's regardless of their musical tastes.

Always wanting to embrace new ideas and technology he has attempted to do something different. He is now editing and remixing tunes to make his sets much more unique, the power of the pc and cdjs has increased the djs ability to become more original and have access to a much wider range of tricks and tools to make them stand out.

Since buying his first soundlabs when he was about 15 to now with his Technics and Pioneer Cdj1000 mk2s he has always tried to make the most out of the hardware, and he is now adding Ableton to the setup so he has 6+ inputs in theory which is what he's working on and maybe phasing one technics out and leaving him with Ableton, 2 x Cdj1000mk2s and his one remaining technics for the love of his vinyl collection.

Looking to the future ….. with his website kicking off and integrating technology into his Dj sets, its looking brighter and he's hoping to get even more exposure and break out.
