ALLEXANDER
The name itself sounds glorious: most of us know him as DJ Allexander, but only his close friends know his real name, Alexandru Toma. The beginning is always the hardest and most important; for him it was his home town of Cluj-Napoca where for the first 4 years of his music career, until 2004, he learned what being a dj really is and also gained invaluable experience and a unique style which he holds until this very day. His unfinished passion for music was not enough, and a lot of work was needed to progress in this unforgiving world of music. But it did not take long until his talent was rewarded: he got an important gig for the summer of 2004, consisting of a residency in Cotton Summer Club, Italy. It was a turning point in his life, a real challenge, but he faced this very well, having played again in the future there. The next important step in his life was when he met Bogdan Ioan, a trustworthy friend up to the present. He is the one which got him into production and guided his first few steps. His first remix was of Bordens single, called Fever, a track which was very successful and well received by the public. Not after long his first track followed, in collaboration with the same Bogdan Ioan. The track is called I Was Lonely, and was remixed by plenty of local and foreign artists like: G.I.C, sMC, Almud, Sava, Alessio Gav, Treitl Hammond, Jay Cox. The track will soon be released on the respectable UK label Fizzeek Records. The original track is one of the most popular at present, and was played on major radio stations like Kiss FM, Radio 21 Radio Deea, a track supported by all local djs. Also with Bogdan Ioan he remixed the latest track of Dj Optick & Activ, Feel Good, the Liberty Parade Official Anthem 2006, which is number one in MTV Chart - Romania.For the time being he fills up his spare time mainly with dj gigs and productions. He was guest dj in two major radio shows: House Experience @ Kiss FM with guest DJ Vali Barbulescu and Nextlevel @ Radio 21, with guest DJ Optick.He played in the majority of widely known clubs from Romania, and some of the places where the best parties took place at are: Club Euphoria - Cluj-Napoca , Club Bahia - Bacau, Suceava - Office, Club Obsession - Cluj-Napoca, Club Diesel - Cluj-Napoca, Club La Strada - Zalau, Club Oscar - Cluj-Napoca. He shared the dj booth with the likes of DJ Adrian Eftimie, DJ Carlos, DJ G.I.C, DJ Liquid, DJ Lucian & Vali Barbulescu, DJ Jasc, DJ Optick, DJ Sava. His favorite artists at the moment are Mark Knight, Martijn Ten Velden, Funkagenda, Aleksij, Chris Lake, Jon Gurd, Micky Slim, Trophy Twins, Richard Dinsdale, Jay Cox, Dirty South, TV Rock and all of whose productions are very close to his heart. Based both on his dj-ing skills and production and remixing capabilities, DJ Allexander has already made a name for himself locally and overseas. International djs are starting to approve his talent and requesting his aid.
