The music history commenced in Chicago where Allen became one of the youngest members of Dogs of War: one of the first well renowned record pools that existed at that time. He later became a member of the Larlin Music Association Record pool which is owned by a member of the original Dogs of War record pool. He also became a Regional Director for the Larlin Milwaukee office during the late eighties. Outside of a demanding Jesuit curriculum he spent countless hours in the control booths of night clubs where he associated with some of the best talent the city had to offer at that time.

He enjoyed listening to sets and speaking to Charles from Dingbats, Frankie from the Power Plant, Ron from the Warehouse, Jim from Rumors, Granddaddy DJ aliases O.J. in his WLUM days and DJ Johnny P Back to his Chicago days in the 80's, James alias J.R. who served V100 and the Stone Fox in the Milwaukee market, the BeatMixing community and the MM Rat Pack Crew are held in high regard by Allen for being inspirational allies. The BeatDown DJ community in Milwaukee is legendary and Allen greatly enjoys their contributions to the DJ industry in the Milwaukee market and beyond. These people perform and performed mesmerizing syncopation behind the controls. There are many more favorites and they know who they are.

Allen later began a residency at the Brookfield Marriott in Wisconsin during his college years where he later learned the politics of programming non-commercial music product to a mature adult business oriented clientele. It was during this time that he began promoting product for PolyGram Group Distribution as a local independent.

Allen was interested in retail so he became a singles buyer for a 17 store retail chain in Milwaukee. Allen sprung up multiple residencies during these times and met some great recording artists. Denise Lopez, Jonathan Butler, Safire, Brian McKnight and Zhane are just a few of the artists that Allen personally met and enjoyed. A great investment of resources and efforts are and were given to expose their work to the Milwaukee market. Allen worked with many talented people in this industry and he continues to embrace the technology that transfers his intellectual properties to clients and their audiences. Much of his present time is spent managing his DJ services aside from his family ties. Allen has a wonderful daughter who has shown interests in the arts and she is commuted about town for the violin, piano, and the clarinet. She recently decided to try the guitar. It is a blessing to have a committed and loving wife and daughter. They both value the abilities and contributions Allen delivers to the DJ industry. Allen invests time and resources to improve exposure for DJs at the Milwaukee Summer Festival; he is surrounding the challenge to program music with a sense of consciousness for the greater glory of the ALPHA and OMEGA.
