Unquestionably one of the most extraordinary talents around, Alex Parsons is London’s most recent and exciting addition to the house and breaks scenes. Drawing inspiration from his experiences as a concert musician and a Masters degree in music, Alex cleverly mixes up a variety of styles ranging from Underground House music, through to Electro and Breakbeat. Always at the cutting-edge of new music, his intelligently crafted sets are guaranteed to be as exciting and innovative, as they are seamless.

Having started mixing just over 4 years ago, Alex was playing main room sets at The Fridge within 6 months. Now, an extremely experienced and versatile DJ, he holds residencies at the ever-growing Kurruption (monthly at the EP Lounge) and Party Proactive (Bi-Monthly at Turnmills) - with another to be announced shortly. As well as regularly being seen alongside many of the scenes high-flyers; Alex is gaining more and more sets at top London venues including SE1, Turnmills and The End - with sets at The Gallery and on Ministry Of Sound Radio to look

forward to in 2006.

None of this will come as any surprise to his army of fans, however. You only have to watch him mix one set and like so many others, you’re certain to become a fan for life. His skills behind the decks are truly breathtaking - and his tricks, scratching and use of FX are as certain to make you smile as they are to drop your jaw!

As if that wasn’t enough, his experience in the studio is second-to-none. A fully qualified sound engineer and talented producer, his recent credits (with support from House music legends Tom Neville, Tim Sheridan and David Duriez, naming just a few), include: as well as various soundtracks for national television, a remix on Kitcash, his own EP released on David Duriezs Block imprint, and a collaboration with Tommy Four Seven, Chocolate Makes Your Clothes Shrink, due to be released on Brique Rouge in March 2006.

The tougher side of Alexs music stems from his earlier involvement in the harder sounds of house and techno where he had a number of acclaimed releases on labels including Proactive, Whiplash and Acute Digital.

There is little doubt that 2006 is set to be a big one for Alex. Easily the most versatile, innovative and exciting DJ and producer around, he is without doubt the brightest rising star of the house and breaks scenes.
