After a long love affair with dance music and clubbing, which began even before he had turned 18, Alex finally decided that he'd had enough of simply going out & dancing, he wanted a bigger part of it. So when he had the money he brought his first set of decks & since then hasn't looked back.

Learning the craft from various mentors & countless hours listening 2 his heroes mixes, Alex was finally ready to take control of the floor in late 2004, when he was given the chance to play alongside his mentors @ Unify.

From then, he has gone from strength 2 strength & landed spots at some of Melbourne’s best & respected nightspots.

Influenced heavily by the sounds of djs & producers like Sander Kleinenberg, Trentmoller, Luke Bowditch, Tiga, Infusion, Adam Freeland & BT, Alex has been able 2 bring on board similar traits & sounds of his idols but yet allowed his own personality & tone 2 shine through, thus making his sets truly original & unique. It is because of this broad taste & musical diversity, that any typical set can swing somewhere between leftfield & quirky house, deep driving electro & tech 2 organic hypnotic progressive, the latter of which, what he really enjoys & believes in. However, Alex also recognizes that the DJ`s main role is 2 entertain as well as educate,

'I wont be happy with myself until I know that the crowd is happy, only then will I be satisfied & know that I have earned my keep', a trait that seems 2 be forgotten amongst some these days.

Not one 2 be satisfied merely with DJing, Alex has recently started 2 delve into the world of dance music production, an area he is really starting 2 get an appetite for. For the moment at least he says he has 2 settle with basic re-edits and loops (which you may hear in his sets) but he one day hopes 2 break out of the traditional 'Dj' format & explore the world of live performance & production. For the time being at least he is happy to move at his own pace and is in no rush to get anywhere.

You can find Alex playing out around town at various venues, of late these have been bars like Tilt on Russell St, Temple precinct in Collingwood, Lustre in Flinders lane & Khokolate in the city. He has also played out at some of the more established club's & nights, including Unify @ Altitude, Two Floors Up, PreSSure @ Arthurs, Bunker & his own creations Fracas & the one off recovery party Morning Sedative.

Wherever or whenever Alex is behind the decks you can be assured of one thing, a diverse friendly rockin good time.
