In 1999, Family Productions prodigy, Adem Joel, acquired his first set of turntables and a mixer at the early age of 15. His love for electronic dance music quickly garnered attention. "The sounds just made perfect sense", he says. In only a years this turntablism whiz kid landed his first weekly at The Dragons Empire, where he pleased crowds of party goers night after night. In unprecedented time, Adem undeniably gained the respect of the Southwest dance music scenes' most elite DJs. After several years of bringing feel good vibes to dance floors and desert gatherings all over New Mexico, Adem has gone on to share the decks with Rennie Pilgrem (founder of TCR Recordings), John Kelley, J Scott G of Deepsky and a few other top players.

Influenced by artists [Rennie Pilgrem, Simply Jeff, Phil k and Kraddy] and the tribal, organic sounds of [MoonTribe, Mystic Vision and Kan'nal], Adem remembers the fateful day he received a mix CD of Simply Jeff, : "It totally blew my mind," he says. From that point foward, Adem Joel developed his trademark sound, a Nu-Break sound spliced with a tribal twist. Jackin' the floor is this players foretay and jack you he will!

His skills on the decks have also offered him the opportunity to share his feel good vibes with the Underground Electronic cultures of New Mexico, Colorado, California and Juarez, Mexico. And currently is doing a guest spot on Techtronic thursdays on desertFM.com. So when he starts slinging wax be ready for a breakbeat jackin' jurney, for he bumps nothing but the freshest, fatest multi-faceted basslines for your auditory pleasure!
