ADAM FREEMER
With a degree in Electrical Engineering, and a fascination for sound, music and technology since he was a child, the stage was set for Adam's obsession with all things electronic and all things musical. Even today, Adam works on the side as a professional audio engineer and as a pro sound engineer, tapping into his many years of experience with music, sound and engineering theory. This translated well into Adam's passion for music production and pursuit for excellence in his dj sets. With support from some of underground dance music's heaviest hitters such as Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone, DJ VIbe, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Boris and Tom "Superchumbo" Stephan to name just a few, Adam has been making quite a name for himself as a dj and as a producer. After beginning his dj career in the mid 90's, Adam got a huge boost in 2000 when Danny Tenaglia asked Adam to fill in for him at his legendary "Be Yourself" party at the former Arc in New York. Adam has gone on to play at New York's most prominent venues including a spot at the now legendary Twilo before it closed. In 2002 Adam started his relationship with Twisted records, signing his first highly successful EP: "H2O"/"The 13th Tribe". H2O featured house legend Alan T from Miami providing the vocal snippit to this club stomping first effort by Adam. To follow that up, Adam remixed Superchumbo Tom Stephan's smash hit "Irresistible" which went to number 1 on Billboard in part due to Adams strong remix effort. Adam has gone on to release material on high profile dance labels such as Desyn Masiello's Alternative Route Recordings as well as Sheeva and Acute recordings. The past few years have seen Adam hard at work in the studio with the fruit of this labor now starting to emerge. Coming soon to Twisted is Adams co-production with Italian producer DJ Joio, a new single (with several remixes including a club stomper by Peter Presta) entitled Rising Storm which is already in rotation with DJ Vibe and Boris. On Lajja, Adam is releasing Ativa Pasiva with a remix by Frank Maurel and a new remix of Niki B & Christian E.F.F.E.s Elegante. Several other originals and remixes are currently in production. Adam’s most successful release to date Underground, Baby!, on Twisted, has gone on to be one of clublands most popular records with an official vinyl release in August 2006. It has been a top 5 download on Beatport and is currently climbing into the top 10 on Billboard. Besides being in the box of nearly every top house dj such as Danny Tenaglia, Victor Calderone and DJ Vibe, it has been remixed by Twisted all stars Alex Santer and the 2 Toasters. Adams original mix will also appear on the next Global Grooves mix compilation by DJ Vibe. The most amazing part of this production is that it was promoed over 6 months before its release, yet djs still find it in their rotation. A testament to Adams production skill and ability to make successful club friendly music. On the dj front, after Arc and Twilo in New York, Adam has gone on to headline at some of the most prominent house clubs in the world. Besides his stellar first performance at the Israeli mega club "TLV" in 2003, Adam has played in Asia, South America, Europe and all over North America. Some of Adams most frequent stops are in Portugal and South America, although this fall sees Adam making a push with more events in Europe and Asia. Adam's set are always given high acclaim for being unique and energetic as he infuses each set with his own eclectic mix of tribal, vocal, techno and trance flavored house.
