AARON CLARK

Aaron Clark was first discovered during an Off-Broadway production of Cats. Actually, due to legal troubles it wasn't called Cats, but rather Electrasoul and it wasn't exactly about cats but DJs. And now that we think about it, he didn't sing. He instead used turntables and a mixer.

Thrown into the dance music scene by the early music of Norman Cook while in middle school, Aaron's tastes have quickly progressed with musical influences in practically every genre of dance music that currently exists. Always carrying an incredibly versatile cache of music, Aaron has refined into a very unique and energetic sound which makes it enormously difficult to pigeon hole. Depending on when and where Aaron is in performance you are sure to hear a wide variety of masterfully programmed house music; from funk-filled, soulful, electro house, to cutting edge tech house with a heap of techno thrown in for good measure.

Since Electrasoul, Aaron also secured residencies at the now defunct Fridays @ Muse, Forward at Z:Lounge and SPIN at Sanctuary. SPIN also had a sister radio show which he hosted to coincide with the club event. Since 2004, he's opened for headliners such as Steve Porter, Doc Martin, Jesse Rose, Pig & Dan, and DJ Dan - many of them before he was even legally allowed to be in the club.

In the summer of 2006 Aaron's obsessive research of electronic music lead him to find the Humanaut, a sentient being from the near or far cosmos (depending who you ask). Which has led him to his most recent residency at Pittsburgh's Palm Bar, dubbed: Palm Saturdays. It also has started to take him outside of the region with gigs at NYC's Sullivan Room, as well as Denver's Shelter and Loft clubs to name a couple.

Aaron's dedication to this music has been seen and heard throughout the music community far and wide in the past years and is sure to continue as he moves into 2008 and beyond.
