MarQuee is currently one of the well known DJ’s in Indonesia with his unique choice of music combining progressive euphoric uplifting techno trance with high technical ability, enabling him to present music that is energetic with flawless flow of the emotion, taking the crowd on a cloud-walking journey, high into the clear sky where time stands still, peaceful and serene as in one’s childhood dreams. Despite the fact he has only entered the DJ profession in Indonesia within the last 1.5 years, he has been able to make his debut in several major cities in Indonesia, such as: Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Jogjakarta, Makassar, Semarang, receiving enthusiastic reaction, in time creating a loyal crowd approximately 1000 in each of the cities. His first appearance at a major event in Indonesia was at the Ancol Beach annual Rave Party in 2004 attended by around 5000 clubbers. He was also one of the local DJ’s that got elected to play with International DJ’s such as: DJ Mark Norman, DJ Marcos, DJ Ton TB, DJ Mojado at the BlackHole Recordings Tour, an international event in the Asia Pacific. A senior DJ from Jakarta once stated on the radio that even though marQuee is a newcomer to the industry but he has been able to perfect his technical ability on par with the more senior DJ’s.

MarQuee learnt DJ-ing from a friend who owns a record shop called Dance 2 Records in Brighton, UK. He was 21 years old at the time, attending Business School at the University. He was initially playing UK Hard style, until a few months later when he joined a huge global gathering rave party in Birmingham, UK, reaching a crowd more than 50.000 featuring Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Mark Norman, Ton TB, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Fergie, Marco V, and many more professional DJs. Mesmerized by the richness, energy and power of the music, he then decided to switch to Trance .

His first DJ gig was to play at small university functions such as: Year End Students Gathering, Alumni Reunion parties, International Students parties, continuing on to play at small clubs in Brighton, UK such as: Mango Club and Zap Club located by the seaside within the centre of the resort area. Currently he is Semi Resident DJ at the Embassy Club, one of the best clubs in Indonesia. He aims to become a dance music producer following the footsteps of his idols, Armin van Buuren.
