A-BAK
The name DJ A-bak, is made out of the artists last name which is Agerbak. It is simple and very original. In 1999, DJ A-bak got an offer to play with one of his friends, in his mobile disco. The job was all about having fun while playing music, not that serious. It did not take long before he found out that mixing and seeing the crowd go wild was something he was addicted to. He got his first job at a local Club in 2001, where he played for a bigger crowd, on a regular basis. There weren’t any restrictions regarding the music genre, so mainly Dance and Techno was played all night. This is where DJ A-bak’ s style was born. After 1 year at the local club it had to close under some rough circumstances, shortly after that DJ A-bak packed his bags and moved to Copenhagen in 2003. Because of all the new stuff that happened, the music was put on hold for a while. In the beginning of 2004, he started to produce a couple of megamixes defined on music genre. From this time and to late 2005 there was not that much news regarding music. But the breakthrough came for DJ A-bak, when he found out that people had an interest for the megamixes he had done during the years. Playdio was the first radio station to play one of his mixes, and they wanted more. After a few custom made mixes for Playdio, DJ A-bak got the opportunity to go live on the radio. That became a huge success and after a while DJ A-bak got a regular show on the radio. DJ A-bak has a lot of projects going today, besides playing at clubs and parties, he is also starting up his own radio called United DJ’s Radio. This is going to be an international radio for DJs and listeners all over the world. Not long ago he started producing and is currently working on his first single release.
