Little did The Henrik Maneuver know about the future consequences when he willingly got lured into a DJ-booth in 1997. Instantly feeling at home between the turntables, though he didn't really know how to work the things, he had soon, almost by accident, taken over as resident DJ at Stockholm University's finest student union. Initially the main focus was on rock and indie pop but soon his electronic tendencies got the upper hand. After a couple years of mixing different genres, numerous residencies and club projects, the need for a change was imminent. With the emerging goal of crossbreeding alternative pop with electronic beats, Stockholm soon started to feel too small; in the beginning of 2005 The Henrik Maneuver put all his records in the same basket and flew the coop for Berlin. So far the German capital has responded well to The Henrik Maneuver's unique approach to dance music. By connecting electronic pop gems from a variety of genres he has carved out a DJ niche of his own characterized by that unmistakable eighties sound, velvet-smooth mixing and the joy of pleasing the crowd on the dance floor. Working a tireless schedule with a total of more than 300 gigs in two hand a half years, The Henrik Maneuver's imprint on Berlin's thriving club scene is steadily growing, while frequent excursions to other European cities are establishing his name internationally.

During 2007, The Henrik Maneuver's career and presence in Berlin's nightlife has been intensified even further. Apart from his ongoing weekly club project Swedish Elektro, where the focus is on Swedish electronic music, he has new residiencies and several special events to attend to. One of the new resident venues is Spindler & Klatt, one of Berlin's trendiest crossover club / lounge / restaurant and Picknick, and as if the local success was not enough, in May The Henrik Maneuver was hand-picked for the Pure Berlin Roadshow with shows all over Germany.

Ever since The Henrik Maneuver started his career, spinning on Iceland has been one of his goals. In the end of August 2007 he finally got on a flight to Reykjavik and with a double feature in one of the coolest clubs on the island everything was bliss. The extremely intense party scene, wonderful people and truly amazing nature made a big impact on The Henrik Maneuver and he's already looking for a return flight.

Further ahead there's a UK tour in the pipeline, London, Leeds and Manchester will soon get a dose of The Henrik Maneuver's favourite records. With more international gigs in the bag and the philosophy that any day is a good day for DJ-ing, who knows where The Henrik Maneuver will end up next. The aim is set for everywhere!
